We got married in September and had our dream wedding! It was all planned from New Jersey where we currently live, and held in Taos, New Mexico. We originally wanted to go totally DIY with it because we had so many ideas and just loved the concept of having it all be done completely by us, but due to lack of time, working crazy hours and planning it from so far away, we decided to go half and half. We also wanted everyone who was flying out to have the best experience and we weren't sure we could provide that on our own, so we had it at the amazing El Monte Sagrado Resort and Spa in Taos. We hired a bunch of friends to do some of the stuff we could not do ourselves, like the photography (done by Tommy and Jenissa, see link) and the flowers (done by Amy at Crimson and Clover). We made our own invitations by using a drawing that Louis had done and silkscreening it with a Gocco. I took some more of his drawings and made the inside of the invitation, which we just printed from home on the computer, and got some hand made paper to put inside for embellishment. We got custom stamps made at Zazzle. We also had an amazing mariachi band (friends of Louis' family) which played before the ceremony and during the beginning of the reception. As well, we made our own candy bar, which is something that has been really popular at weddings lately (we didn't invent it, but I was surprised at how most of our guests had never seen or heard of one!). I ordered candy in bulk online and we borrowed glass jars from Louis' grandma's curio cabinet. We made our own bags that the guests could fill up with candy to take home as favors by buying yellow and white colored paper bags and making a "Thank You" stamp to decorate them. We also ordered cupcakes from this really great place in Santa Fe (Tree House Pastry Shop and Cafe) that offered a ton of flavors plus vegan and gluten free options as well so everyone could eat one! We then decorated them further with paper flowers I found online and some day of the dead figurines that Louis' mom picked up around New Mexico. Our officiate was Wally, Louis' stepdad and the DJ was Oliver Knight (also a friend of Louis'!). It helps to have really talented friends when planning a wedding!

We made our guest book out of an extra invitation and a blank sketch book with a canvas cover
Our awesome candy bar!
Tower of yummy cupcakes!
Louis just wrote our place cards by hand (we don't recommend doing this the night before the wedding)

Coolest bridal bouquets ever by Amy!
These flowers are called Billy Balls and I had no idea they even existed until Amy showed me what they were. Cute, huh?
We made the tables pretty simple and it still looked gorgeous! I love these vases that Amy helped me pick out, they are sort of a python design
And here we are!
